London – February 26, 2026 – The newly announced Liberis and Dojo partnership aims to give UK small‑business merchants immediate access to financing through a product called Dojo Flex Funds.

How Dojo Flex Funds works

Dojo Flex Funds is positioned as a bespoke funding solution for merchants that generate at least £60,000 in annual revenue and have been trading for a minimum of twelve months. Eligible businesses can apply for capital that is approved at roughly ninety percent of applications, according to the companies’ statements.

Unlike many conventional loan processes, the product uses real‑time trading data to assess creditworthiness, allowing funds to be made available the moment a merchant signs up. The financing is embedded directly into the onboarding flow, meaning the capital is accessible from day one rather than after a lengthy review period.

Dojo, a payments technology firm, currently connects more than 150,000 UK businesses with over 50 million consumer cards each month. By integrating the financing option into its existing payment platform, the partnership claims to set a new benchmark for speed‑to‑value in merchant support.

Statements from the companies

“Dojo Flex Funds fundamentally transforms how small businesses access capital in the UK,” said Trang‑Thu Tran, chief commercial officer at Liberis. “By providing funding from day one, not months down the line, we’re removing traditional barriers to capital and supporting small businesses when they need it most.”

Mike Winwood, general manager of funding at Dojo, added, “With more than 150,000 UK businesses enabled by Dojo, we know how challenging access to capital to unlock further growth can be. By giving merchants flexible funding from the very start of their relationship with us, they can expand sooner, manage cash flow confidently, and focus on what matters most: delivering great experiences that keep customers coming back.”

Dojo Flex Funds also incorporates Liberis’ Starter Capital, a low‑barrier finance option intended to boost customer acquisition for partner firms. The product is marketed as a way to achieve high penetration among new merchants, supporting growth from the outset.

From a practical standpoint, the combined reach of Liberis’ embedded finance platform and Dojo’s payment network could make the financing option widely available across the country. The real test will be whether merchants actually use the capital to expand operations.

If they treat it merely as a short‑term cash cushion, impact will be limited.

Competitors may adopt similar embedded‑funding features, potentially reshaping the broader lending sector.
